Shock mount I.D.

    Found these along with some other stuff in a old box marked 46 Ford. Are they in fact for a 46. Thanks

    They are factory Ford late 47-48 optional tubular, or aeroplane, shock mounts. They will bolt on place of any 42-48 Ford or Merc lever arm front shock, you'll have to do the axle part. Most late 47-48 Mercs will have these too.

    Houdaille, the company that made all the Ford lever arm hydraulic shocks, made these factory parts for Ford and supplied the shocks as well.
    They also marketed retrofit bracket and shock kits, front and rear, for 33-34, 35-36, 37-39, 40 cars, 40-41 pickups, and 41 cars.
