Man... that kicks ASS. I like that you're using the busted '39 case! All real hot rods have some 'iffy' parts on them! :D

    J,
Was the option of a replacement steel firewall ever considered? Like what HotTurkey did on his '32.
I think he switched his cause it was flat, yours seems to have a more 'correct' style to it.
But just wondering if you thought about it. Great work, 2,010 % better then what you started with.

it's the stock style fire wall with a 3'' setback perfect for what I'm doing....

Atleast its not flat, most flat firewalls ruin the look for me.

I agree 100% :D,..... Hey Frankie !, you can't sleep, because, except for the engine choice (which I thoroughly DIG !), he is building the car you described to me,that YOU wanted to build for decades !,..... Maybe it's time to get "Itchy".

    As they use to say,.....

"Wrap your A** in Fiberglass !":D

  10. I love the fact that you repaired the case. That's what a Hotrod guy would have done in the past! Mostly cause the cars were built on a budget...

You mentioned that the frame was a TCI. I wonder if the frame is close to a stock '33-34? The reason I ask is that 90% of the aftermarket frames you find are designed for the MII stuff. Just wondering if you had to modify your buggy spring crossmember to make it fit the frame?

You made it look really easy..... Just wondering how everything went together.

Kevin, front cross member was long and had to be trimmed for box frame rails....
but other then that everything seems to fit all the stock 34' stuff.....

well my hood showed up from texas on sat. morning.... what a huge let down! the drivers side top is un usable along with the side I called the guy I bought it from said he would make it right we'll see.
so I was at pomona on sunday(today) found allmost perfect hood for $300, $175 less then the one from texas..... found org.window frame so it was a good swapmeet day.

here's pass.side hood after 6 hrs of metal finishing on sat....
