So you're gonna answer a 4 year old post as your intro. And then you're gonna misspell a slew of words like rear and pressure. Wow, just wow. Go do an intro already.:D

(ok you keep saying the head was complety gone )threw let me start by saying (confushis say only one to trust is you self!) ok now that i got that out of the way head bolts not the promlem one rocker stand is scecial that is where oil comes from the top of the head you will see look at the head where the stans bolt, that rocker stand must be where oil comes up from head this also takes longer bolt for this stand because threads are lower than block surface this gives oil room to travel up stand put oil presure guage on motor 15 lbs should be enought to send oil to the top if every thing is open and clear you have to start from one end or the other being you can see the top start there and work back who ever told you pull rockers see if you have good oil ther (listen!) if no oil there there (head gasket could be on worng i seem to rember having to flip one over) never heard of a wrong head but not sayin not imposable any way if no oil after take rockers off you will have to go deeper if you do have oil at top of head clean the dam rockers remeber (only trust you self) not what you paid soomone to do on a friday or early monday moring are how is jut pissed off for some unknown reason jim

We need to remember these threads are valuable sources of info found on the net. I am having a similar dilemma and I have been greatly helped by reading all of the posts from the ancient time in which they were written. Great advice by all. I didn't need to start a new question with an old problem.
Right on, That is why I love this site.

  12. I did not read all this due to time but eons ago when i was a kid we had a fix for bad oiling on rockers
THE TUBE GOING UP TO THE ROCKERS HAS A LOOP DOWN TO DRAIN OFF EXCESSOIL OR SOMETIMES ALL OF IT we used to pinch off the return side of the feed tube which just drips excess oil back on top of head and flows down to drainbacks

not sure if this will help your particular problem, but if you got oil up there and poor oiling on the rockers that is the best method to improve it:D

292 ford guys proabbly rember they used to install direct oilers to the rockers on those too, they were even more wimpy for flow than a 235
