I got these off a 56 pickup That was modified in the mid 60's. Never seen them before so got to checking and they are the elusive 57 Black Widow Fentons I believe.

Wish I new more history on the truck. It has a 58 283. Was sitting in a garage over 20 years. I drug it home and it fired right up.

PM Modified driver. If those are the same ones he has they are super rare. I would love to have a set for my 265 powered '35 Coupe.

  4. I have wanted a set for a long time as well. Let me know what you want for them, or if someone out there has a set that they want to sell let me know please.

Well obviously you now know they are desirable at least. Blast them, Paint them (or chrome) and run them!!!!

Those are super rare and most are damaged that I have seen for sale. Still go for a high dollar. Very cool find. That truck now has to be hoodless.

Ya gotta watch out fer them FNGs, boys...they're TRICKY

playing DUH with us while they're on EBRAY is cause for some additional questions as to motivation for posting them here - although my guess is that he's soliciting offers on a venue where guys know what this stuff is

Propwash called it. This is the place where this kind of stuff would be known. I had no idea what they were but did due diligence to find out. Not playing duh, All I know is what I have been able to find out on the net as I have never seen or heard of them before.

Oh really? Do you know anyone that has actually gotten their hands on a pair of the manifolds that Patrick's is supposedly repopping?

I've been on the waiting list with Patrick's for over a year already, and I was calling them every two months to check on the status. I got tired of getting the run-around everytime I called and haven't checked in with them since the first of this year.

I see you have a reserve on your ebay auction...So what do you want for them?

  17. Save face, end the auction and sell them to a HAMBer.

  18. B***

I just called them and left a message to have them call me back since they are not open on the weekends. they are about 60 miles from me so when I get to talk to them and find out if they are indeed in stock I will drive over there and check them out and let you know what they look like.

I am going to watch the auction as well but think his reserve is big money and with a hole in one of them its going to be hard to fix and make look ok. I have price in my head and will see what happens.

  19. Yea & sometimes the FNG's know more about what's goin' on than the Olde School Hamb'ers do.

Those Black Widows on the ePay auction look pretty rusted & crusted.

Why not step up to the plate on a new set ?

PM us for more info. on these.:D

    whats the story on these?

  21. Yep, I have a pair of SBC Fentons (ya' I have a pair of those too!!) ;) .

I'm also attaching a pic of some rare Ford FE exhaust headers. Have a pair of those too.

I went to eBay and didn't see GMCs Fentons. Did they sell? If so, how much.

There's a HAMBer that wants a pair real bad and is willing to "STEP-UP". I can give the name via PM. He offered me a very fair price for mine, but it wasn't enough. Guess I'm not ready to sell yet.

  22. just got off the phone with Patricks in casa grande and they are telling me 60 days for the repos to be ready for sale and looking about 350-380 for price. When they do come avaiable I will try and get a set and let you all know what they look like and quality.

Like B***, I've been on Patricks list for over a year for a set of the 300 sets that the original run of reproductions were said to be. They have not answered an email since October, so I'd been on the verge of giving up as I'm about at the stage with my project to make a decision in that area. I guess wait and see if this 60 day estimate holds true - but I'll not be holding my breath!

  25. Let us know how that works out for ya.

I think that's the standard line. They've been telling me 60 days for about a year.

Like the other guys I'm on the list but have pretty much given up on them.

If anybody else reproduces them I'd like to hear about them.

My mistake, I ***umed 8 weeks wouldn't turn into over a year for "machining." I wondered why I never saw any new builds with these.

I SOLD a pair @ Charlotte ... maybe 15 years ago ( could be even longer  ) for $550. There were pretty nice but not MINT.

I sold them because they would not clear the steering inside my ch***is with the SBC. They will work with a F-1/F100 type steering box. I got this photo ( beutiful set up ... I am envious :) ) here on the HAMB.
