Well done Ryan. I'm sure that will be good for Atomic and for everyone else in the hobby. I haven't been there for years but I'm sure I'll visit more often when it's restored. (Or hopped up?????)

Good news. The fordbarn has great info but it gives me a headache trying to browse there.

    Congratulations and good luck Ryan.

    This is great news!

Will it be formatted like the rest of the atomic fleet or will it stand alone?

Funny thing. The cl***ifieds is/was about the only thing on the layout of the FordBarn that worked relatively well, IMO. Yeah, it's archaic, but is easy to scan for newly posted items (easier than cl***ifieds on a vBulletin forum). They're kind of like an electronic version of the good ol' newspaper cl***ified - short and simple.

  7. Thanks Poobah!!! An excellent addition.

  8. only early ford V8 parts om the cl***ified, you don't have to scan through all the other stuff!

Started on FordBarn and then here. Great folks on that site. Now it will be the best of both worlds. Thank you Ryan.

Yeah, I was thinking about this and I think an update is certainly needed, but I do agree with Chickenridgerods that vBulletin format for ads is not ideal either. This is just my opinion, but I think the easiest to use ad formats show a description and maybe thumbnail pic on the main page, not just a ***le like vBulletin. In many ways, vBulletin is like FordBarn forums where you have to click open and back to check things out. I also think there should be no responses allowed, just the ad. Put a 30 day limit (or whatever) and the seller needs to click a ****on to extend another 30 days and that puts him back at the top. Maybe a mouse-over feature on the pic. to get a better look and then if the buyer is interested, he can open the entire ad. A lot of cl***ified car ads look this way and you can quickly scroll down and visually filter out the stuff you don't want and open the stuff you do. As opposed to having to open everything. Just some input from a user that knows almost nothing about how internet forums work.

  17. This is awesome, if information is power, then you've hit a treasure trove of grunt, although it will feel like bringing super 8 film into a DVD format, but worth it in the end.

With the addition your talents and p***ion, only great things can evolve, excited for you, and 'our' rodding future.

    Cheers,

I better take my wife on a few extra dates before Ryan makes the change-over. With it being easier to use I can see myself spending more time over there... add that to the time I spend here and I can see the trouble looming! :D

Most of those guys are old-timers and have been messing flatheads for decades...

    Gee... You'd think they'd be a little more open to CHANGE! :D :D :D

I can remember a few HAMBers who weren't crazy about some of the different looks here too...

I'm sure Ryan doesn't want to piss anyone off but I'm equally sure he's going to do what he thinks is best. It all usually works itself out.
