I say "go for it". If your the winning bidder go over the truck and take care of any safety issues and drive the wheels off it. I wouldn't drive it until I made sure the brakes and steering were in good working order, but I'm thinking you could have a blast with it and get your money back when the fun was done. Just don't go over your head "detailing" it, just have some fun (safely). Frank
How the FUCK can anyone sell a vehicle of that weight with no front brakes? The truck appears to have been put together very cheaply, with non desirable parts (6 lug wheels etc.). If you like the look, and it sells cheap enough, you could look upon it as a kit of parts to build something safe out of. If you do buy it, get your daily driver and do a panic stop from 60 mph. Mark the point where you stopped. Do the same in that truck, and see how much further you travel before stopping. (You will probably swap ends a few times as the rear brakes lock up) Well that extra distance is how far you will plow into the traffic that panic stops in front of you on the freeway. Think of little cars with kids in the back seat. You just killed them. Sorry for ranting, but if you buy it you need to have your eyes open and rework it before using it. Mart.

The opening bid is too much for that thing. Great pains and 3 tetnus shots were taken in replacing the rusty metal for even rustier metal....

Might be fun to get and do right but I would want to give very much for it. If you get it please don't drive behind me. I make frequent stops for just about everything.
these kind of things on ebay end up selling for more than their worth.... beware!!! if the auction is going to end while you're at work or something they have these illegal programs that will bid for you........ (so that ebay won't know how high you're willing to go therefore keeping the bidding war down)
