Guess I'll start this one off... I haven't got a finished model to show just yet, but I will show ya's a couple of pics of my new project I'll be starting this weekend. This is the 1/8th scale Revell-Monogram Big Tub kit that was first introduced in?? 1963. This kit is the new one that came out last year.
I'm not sure yet on what engine setup to use... The kit comes with a sbc with 3 Strombergs on a Edelbrock intake and a 3-speed trans. Or... I could do some scratchbuilding and install 1 of 3 other engine setups... A V-8 flathead with 3 deuces from the Big Deuce kit, A Pontiac V-8 with a 6 x 2 Edelbrock setup, or a 312 Y-block setup from a Lindberg kit. So many ways to build these kits. but hard to choose which motor to use..
Haven't had the chance to finish much lately, but here's something I've been working on when time allows. It's the new re-issue of the AMT '25 T kit. The ch***is color is cream and the green is zinc chromate. The blue tape show where the cream scallops will be. The cowling and scallops will be in cream and the rest of the body will be the zinc chromate green. Haven't decided yet if I'll leave green flat and the cream glossy, or flatten both, or gloss both. The engine is the Lincoln from the kit and I'll be using the 3 carb setup. Here are the wheels and tires:
Hi I'm french car modeler...... so, Bonjour de FRANCE !!!! one of my projects.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki hope you like it !!!! another models of my collection Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
Ok. Seeing as how the sub-theme for this week is Un-finished projects, I have a couple. Been sitting for a couple of months.
OK, unfinished projects? Yeah I can run free in that category. I think most of you would have seen this one, a fuel coupe built from the spare parts pile an a br*** ch***is. Here is the start, plans for the ch***is....... Here is the rough completed ch***is with a kit example for comparrison..... A better pic of the ch***is with the body. The start of the body, this was built from three different 'left over' 32 parts from other projects. The body all in one and in primer. The build so far, Potvin crank driven blown 421 Pontiac motor..... Have some more pics of the Fuel Coupe if anyones interested? I'm really enjoying this build, I'm kinda tired of building from kits and happy to get at least part way back to scratchbuilding. Doc.
Well here is my 1930 Ford Model A coupe, chopped, channeled over 32 frame, 4 carb 392 Hemi, scratch built interior, etc. Built like the ShadowBox Coupe.
Lotsa cool models this week, finished or otherwise!! Hey Doc! That Compe***ion Coupe is awesome, especially the ch***is work. Hope to see it done! Since this week's sub-theme is "What's on your bench?", here's what's on mine. It's the AMT Double Dragster Fiat Altered with a scratch built tube frame. I used up the kit frame to build the AMT Parts Pack Altered T-Bucket that I posted last week. The first picture, the one with the graphics on the car, was made with Photoshop. I'm making my own decals but they aren't actually on the car yet. Hope you dig it... B.

Thanks to everyone that posted , I sure get a kick out of seeing all the great work you all keep posting. I would love to do some modeling ,but I'm to lazy......hahahhahahahahahahah Back in the Mid sixties the local Five & Dime store would have a Sunday Model contest, some really cool stuff if I remember correctly, they would give out a cheap little trophy and a coupon for a milk shake.... Just a good way to get people in the store and it worked, sometimes my Dad and Mom and us kids would walk over and check it out....
