    I went through 3 cheap ( $150 a pop ) " 2.5 tonne " trolley jacks in about 2 years before I figured, **** it - spend the money on a decent one. $400 for a Blue-Point. It works like a charm. :)

I got a new costco jack toward a bill a guy owed me and it was great for about a mouth and died. It went to the dump looking as good as when I got it. Nothing but Chinese junk

My 1964 Walker 3 ton still works as great as it did then. Never been overhauled. Old Farm sales are great places to pick up quality stuff.

I bought one from my local NAPA dealer a few years ago, it weighs a ton, but has been very durable and taken all the abuse I've given to it, including forgetting to put it back in the garage at night!

Unfortunately, most of the hydraulic tools made today are imported. Meaning..............when it stops working............throw it away. A lot of them are even welded together with no means of dis***embly sealing their fate. The old Walker, Hein Warner and others are a thing of the Past as America would rather support a third world country with their cheap labor than keep and American on the job. The chickens have come home to roost.
Sam Walton started a business selling american made good at a great price. He would be ashamed of what his heirs have turned it into.

The manufacturing left because the general public demanded goods at a cheaper price. Now, there is little chance of the US regaining its once dominant manufacturing position when the economy ****s and the 'little people' have even less money to spend. Give thanks to Barney Frank and Chris Dodds for starting the current mess.

I bought a Hein Werner jack a couple years ago and love it. I also have one of those aluminum racing jacks. I always grab the Heins Werner jack first. As a bonus, its American Made.

I am on the road & carry (2) Harbor freight aluminum
    4000 pound floor jacks .......

They have proved dependable - I purchased the extended
    (1) year warranty (not 2 year) - I replace them once a year
    and get another warranty ....
