The Japanese said after the war that they will never fight us ...never said ANYTHING about buying us out ...and ruining our economy ..

  4. Sadly, I'd take Japanese steel over Chinese steel any day of the week.

  9. I love the way everyone is quick to blame Walmart. If everyone who waves the flag and says all this stuff, would have bought higher priced American made products all the production would not have gone overseas. But since the masses don't really give a shit and just want the cheapest priced throw away junk they can get, the Sam Walton's of the world will fill the need. And if it wasn't Walmart it would be someone else. Unless our government decides to level the playing field by placing tariffs on country's who's standard of living, and therefore wages, are not equal to our this will only continue to happen. And in this very complicated world it really is simple economics

  10. And for those of you that rationalize buying a Toyota (or whatever) because it was made on American soil, you are only kidding yourselves. The profit at the end of the day still goes back to Japan. And when they buy the plant that they make it in, it is something known as Selling you Assets. Argue all you want about them giving Americans jobs, but if those same buyers would buy a GM or Ford product (or Chrysler before it was German and them Italian) these same American workers would be working in an American owned factory, keeping money in OUR economy, not feeding the deficit to others.

Ya screw all that imported stuff, go 100 % American boycott anything foreign, god dam it, shove it right up their ass.

But what do you run your car on ?
And since we ( USA) is the largest user and importer of foreign oil should we also boycott gas ?
Seems logical to me if you follow the thread.

O.K. then we all agree to stop driving, do we ? You can't sit on the middle of the fence on this , your either in or out.
So what is it boys & girls, we gonna do this or not ?
I think I already know the answer.

Sorry but it just chaps my ass every time I hear this shit cause we all( including me) created it and now we have to , for the most part, work with it.
Get over it, nothing going to change, China at this very time is getting more expensive then it was a few years ago , we'll just finds another cheap ass country to set up shop in , that's all and we will keep buying.
Like I said, get over it.

Now forgive me, while I go make some popcorn.

I dunno if I am or not.

I'm driving a Mazda pickup. It was made on a Ford assembly line in the U.S.A. The parent company is in Japan. Ford owned controlling interest of the parent company. Some of the parts were made in the U.S.A., some were made in Japan, some were made in China, some were made in Canada, and some were made in Mexico. The pickup was designed by Mazda. The engine was made by Ford. The transmission was made by Mazda. You tell me.
