OK! Here's mine for today!. Mickey Thompson was THE Greatest Hotrodder of them ALL!! He had a mind that worked overtime all the time. He set so many records and had so many innovations that others never thought of. He was a true legend!. The Petersen Museum recently had a tribute to him and displayed many of his history making cars. The Callenger I was one of them. Restored a few years ago by his son Danny Thompson. Mel:D

Nope, just model cars. I used to dink around with 'em about 10 years ago, but all I ever got done was gluing engine blocks together and slapping some half-***ed paint on them. Here's the first model car I worked on since then, and I actually completed it. 1/87th scale, no joke!

Thanks for the compliments on the '57.

    Nice work everyone!

Just a simple fun Snapfast kit, with some extra goodies. At a later date I will add a trailer hauling some kind of racer!!

There is the model car social group here on the HAMB and several other forums for model cars. Just letting you know, in case you haven't seen them.

There are others but this should keep most guys busy for awhile.

Here´s one (of many) I´ve been working on for a long time. Still just a masking-tape mock-up at this stage, however. The paint is metallic purple automotive lacquer from 2006, Plans are a stance close to pictured, the kit-supplied 409+T-10 with a Hilborn, hole in the hood, stock upholstery in shades of silver/gray. Alclad chrome on the fr rim+ a skinny whitewall on the tire. Chr rev´s+ skinny slicks out back from the AMT old-tool ´57 Chevy as pictured. Just about the widest ones I was able to fit inside the wheelwells of this kit. I´ve yet to find a suitable Hilborn -unit + set of open headers for it, the decals I´ve had to strip too, and get a whole new set. They just didn´t settle any nicer than that, hopefully I´ll be able to re-do them better, I got the setting -agents now. It will be clearcoated too, as soon as I´m done decaling.

BTW, I don´t know what size this pic will show up, this is my first-ever pic on the HAMB. Man trying to post this picture took me close enough to as long as it took me to paint the model, I sure hope this works...

  13. Didn't work brother, though sounds like an interesting build.

Ifn you guys still have time on your hands, try these links as they are not just about rods or customs (but many also include them). One fellow, who's work you will recognize, is also a HAMBER. The last two guys are insanely good modelers. Viewing their work will keep your jaws dropped for a week. Gary
