Anyone done it? Does it work, or just burn off? Does it fade?

we had some done in the high temp ceramic and looked good for a while....but slowly started to get "spotted" kinda rust colored spots all over it. i painted mine with some high temp black in a rattle can from advance and it has held up better.

eastwood has a high temp durable powder coat that stands up to temp range from 1000-1200 degrees . as with most paints or coatings it's only as good as the prep and product you are applying it to. for instance powder coatings generally will not properly adhere to used headers due to the fact that headers are porous. They collect/expel gas and oil . As they are heated for the powder coating the headers start the cycle of off gasing which keeps the power from completing it's bond. which results in the flaking so commanly mentioned. Jet hot coatings bakes then sand blast each part as part of the prep cycle prior to ceramic coating (as per thier tech line). not to sound like Mr Powder Coat or anything but over the last 5yrs I've experimented with many different types of coating for motorcycle and hot rod exhaust.

If black is okay with you, go to Menards black stove section. They have "Rutland" black stove paint. I smoked and blistered some Thermo-Tec header paint off my headers first run. Stripped them and painted them with Rutland - never a sign of ever being fired up.

Central Connecticut Coatings--ask for Gene (owner). He's the man. Did 2 sets of ceramic for me recently and they are beautiful and durable. 1 week turnaround.
