dragfest is back on for may 1-2. the decision was made about 20 minutes ago. the weather looks good, and the track only had 2 other dates available, july 9 (100 degree weather), and the weekend before hotrod reunion.
Zombie, you guys ****, my BienerSchnitzel *** is gonna be in Mexico Marlin fishing this weekend. I was stoked last Friday when your dad said it had been postponed. Or maybe, when you guys found out I was gonna be in Mexico, you put it back on for this weekend.

God damnit. I was hoping it would be pushed off for another week or two and I'd be able to get a flight/hotel/rental lined up. I hope it rains you *******s. Eh, just kiddin, but really I do.
Great turnout all across the board. More Vendors, both in the Midway, and the swap area than before. One thing though...a LOT of interruptions in the racing. Something that usually happens to March Meet and Hot Rod Reunion, but thus far, NOT Dragfest. Yes, I know there were oil-downs. BUT, a lot of pauses seemed to occur for no reason whatsoever.
Had fun, watched lots of races and saw some cool cars. What happend to the blue W/flames '55 (the one on the Dragfest shirt)? I saw it over in the pits, the hood was in pieces. The pea green Fairlane was way cool.
The hood flew off the 55 at about 1000 foot on one of it's p***es. That green Fairlane sure hauled *** (high 9's), as did the orange G***er style early Nova with the stick shift trans (high 8's!!!!!), and was a ball to watch. Also, the plain white Mustang Funny Car hauled *** too. I believe a 5.82! About 3 tenths quicker than the rest of the Funny Cars I saw.
squeek ran a 12.67 in his sedan. im getting ready to head back out. im gonna try to set up a match race between markys purple people eater and mike smiths blown small block model a coupe today. thanks for the chili phil... z
I had a *****en time @ the drags. This was the first drags for my 6 yr. old son & guys were letting him sit in their FED's. He couldn't have been better time. Thanks for staying the course.
