better shocks???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by WD40, Apr 26, 2010.

  1. I want to put a set of better performing shocks on my 1939 Chev. The car has a Mustang II from TCI up front with dropped spindles and new springs.
If you have bought a set you liked, please share some info. as to the make.
    Thanks WD40

I would look into the single or double adjustable. You can set them soft on compression or rebound depending on how heavy your car is. You can also tune them to run like a slot car or anything in between.

  3. I'm going to bump this for the evening Hambers...

I recently upgraded the 55 with a greatly improved shock.

Speak with the tech department online at KYB shocks and see if they have a gas adjust shock that fits your need.

These guys were EXTREMELY helpful in coming up with an exact fit for my car, including finding out about the weight, horsepower, lowering modifications, static height, etc on the car and then recommending the best shock.
