Flahead Lucas Distributors School me

    I picked up a NOS Lucas flathead distributor for $350 at Carlisle. School me on them i havent been able to find much info on them

    Most pommy stuff used lucas(the prince of darkness ) and it is thought of , generally as total rubbish ,whether it be on british bikes or cars ,the one thing you can count on , is that said part will fail at the worst possible time .piss it off !

    I'm sure there's a great joke here... Something about "letting all the smoke out" and "the smoke was the only thing keeping the fire inside", followed by something like "damn shame about the old house" :D

    HAHA no joke just moved is all...were still doing work on the house and nothing is set up yet so i only have internet at work right now

    From what ive heard the Lucas for the flathead is supposed to be pretty good...If anything its a good wall hanger

    Change the springs (too stiff) , new condensor and run the thing!
