  4. Oh man, thanks for posting. I too was 17 when attending "30" in '64 although I saw my first drags there in summer of '63. Geeeeeeeeeees that takes me back. Best film from 30 I've seen yet. Fantastic.

That was fantastic! Thanks for sharing it. I first went there in '75 and watch Bob Glidden run "practice" runs. One of the big guns that came there to test and tune:)

Way cool. I only went there once. Question, I heard there were other "US30" drag strips in other states along that same road. True? Gary

York US 30 Dragoway , just west of York, PA, is another one that was pretty hot. There were a few "names" that raced there as well.

    GREAT video!!!! Lots of memories.

Here is a link to a view of the track as it is today nestled a**** the businesses, homes and grown up trees and bushes.

Look closely towards the middle of the view, running through the field full of trees and parallel to US 30.

Hello, i am desperately looking for photos of video of 63/64 fotage of us 30. My husbands dad died when he was just a teen and i guess his dad use to race out there for a short time, but his mom made his dad quit when she found out she was pregnant (with hubby). So he never go to see his dad race and i only know the years were 63/64 and his car number was 333. My husband went on to be a race car driver in the same area circle track racing. The loss of his dad still troubles him, his dad was only in his 30s. If anyone could help, i'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance. You can email me at rockin2zep@hotmail.com

Thanks for getting the thread rollin and HEMI 32 for the video link

We went to Oswego Dragstrip in Oswego Illinois most of the time, one day we all jumped in our cars left Chicago and headed out
one of the guys have a friend in Indiana we stayed at his place

so he says lets go to the fair not sure if it was a county fair or state?
any way it was Saturday we goofed around got some beer, money talked back them
then he said lets go see the strippers in the tent this is at the fair
you had to be of age that left us out he said you got a buck yep, in we went wow!

next day it was out to US 30 the YouTube video brought back those familiar sounds and sights
    cool really enjoyed it

the whole trip was a cool memory

i lived right at the end of this track from 1958 till 1975 and was on the "guest list" for 10 yrs. I parked my blue T bucket at the base of the tower.
