Hey Bob, I won't get caught up in the HAMB drama on your B-day BBQ thread, but like we told you on Saturday at the Beatnik Blowout June 5th is our Anniversary and if we don't go out of town we will be at your BBQ. I will let you know for sure.

HERE IT IS!!!!! The HAMB BBQ Dragstrip......
I've been working on this for the last three days and it's just about done! I used two pieces of 1 1/2,cold-rolled channel,10' long then added another 5' section. I still have to paint it and add the Hotwheel flag piece. It works really great! We were racing all day today.....since the boss wasn't there today,hahaha!

It's 15' long and 5' tall,at the starting line.
What do you think????

 

I made the starting line out of a door hinge and some scrap metal.


I cut it out so the paddles would go down to the bottom of the track.

 

The weight of the cars kept pushing the doors open,so I added a spring to keep it closed...

 

Here's what it looks like looking down the track....notice the burnouts,hahaha!!!!

 

Yep! That's right!!!!! You better bring some Hotwheels with you to the BBQ! Cause one lucky guy,or gal,is gonna take home $100!!!!!!

Guess I will have to come up with some rules or something,now!!!
#1 Open to ANY,non-propelled,Hotwheel. Gravity is all you get!
#2 You can test your cars to come up with your fastest car BUT can only enter ONE car!
#3 After everybody chooses a car,the eliminations will begin. I've checked out both tracks,so the lane choice doesn't matter.
#4 two outta three wins.
The fastest two cars will get the CASH!!!!

1st place $100
2nd place $50

After the Drags are over...the track is open for fun!!!! I might even bring out some of my oldies....Like Snake and Mongoose!!!!!!

Haven't figured out how I will get it to the park yet,haha! Might just have to let it hang out the back of my truck!!!!!

Almost forgot....It's only a couple weeks away,so I need to know if you want a shirt or not. AND I will need your size. I need enough time to have them printed. I will do ONE more order,after the BBQ. For the people who couldn't come,but want one.

Shirts are $12 this year,plus shipping,if you aren't coming to the BBQ!
