I'll take a photo of the original belly pan sometime soon.......it was just too expensive to try to straighten it out.......same for the original windshield frame....it was too far gone......anyone that has been involved with " resurrecting " a car like this has to make decisions, some based on costs........figure Simard's hourly shop rate times 3 (Mark, Dave and Stan all workin' at the same time) It just was more practical to start with new aluminum and a new windshield frame.......some say it's not original..........so what, certainly the majority of it is............****, I coulda' used one of Khougaz's original blocks too, 5 came with the car..they were all cracked but not unuseable........Mark Kirby had perfect block.....we used that. Call it what you want, it's still a great car.

Most of us would agreed it's one of the coolest roadsters on the planet. I lust after it each and every time I see it. Of course picking out new details that I missed the time before. The car is just stunning and you did an AWESOME job on it.

Not sure if you remember, I'll never forget, but we met at the Detroit Autorama in 2004 and during our conversation you offered to allow me to sit in the car. Might not mean alot to some but it meant the world to me and I just wanted to thank you again for being so kind.

The point is, that its a one of a kind car with a proven history.

This car and others are valued for their place in history, so naturally, a certain money value will follow that.

    And thats a good thing.

Because very bad things can happen to cool old racecars when they are not worth enough money.

One of my favorite cars. And a supurb job. But I am still having a hard time with even $100 K Hot Rods being a contradiction in terms. Guess I better get with whatever times these are.
