Micro Platers in Wayne Michigan. They are located on Van Born East of I-275.

  4. Proctor's Metal Finishing in Muskegon is just getting ready to ship my narrowed up grill and my parking light bezels. Price was seemed fair (not Cheap) and they have been ok to deal with so far... BUT, I haven't seen the parts yet!!!!!!!
I hope to be pleased with their work.

Why does it make a difference where a plater is located. I would think the quality of the plating is what matters.

The owner of Proctor's is my uncle. I honestly can't vouch for his plating good or bad since I don't work there, but he is a good guy. I used to work for him years ago when he and my Dad were partners. He and my Dad taught me how to do this stuff.
    I hope you're pleased too.

Were your dad and uncle the ones on Apple out by Wolf Lake Rd. who then moved to Shelby?

  8. Josh,

I originally wanted to have you do my stuff, but I ran into a time crunch and your lead time was too long.
My bad for not getting with you sooner.
Hopefully good chromin' runs in the family.

Not in Michigan but I don't use anyone else.
    Advanced Plating

Have have used B & L in the past. They are good but I can tell teh difference between the pieces they have done for me and the ones Advanced Plating has done

Ask for Gino, tell him you're a friend of Denise Sheldon with the purple Olds convertible.

Both places are long lead times. Advanced Plating times are right on teh money. B & L in the past has taken longer then stated.

I live in Mich , I support Michigan business and I would like to take my stuff to the plater doing the work. Shipping can kill ya, a $600.00 dollar job quickly turns to $800.00 when you have to send it away...

Yes sir. For a while we had the plating shop on Wolf Lake road, and the polishing and office building on Apple Ave. When we moved up to Shelby we were able to have everything under one roof, altough the 45+ min. drive from Muskegon to Shelby got old.

Don't tell anyone but I still miss living in MI.

Nothing big, just odds and ends. The only thing I remember for sure are the vent window frames. They still look great. Being you know my name who is this?
