Tank, how close to this Wild Thing are you aiming for? Growing up with Zinger's, this car is right on.

First of all i am new to hotrodding and have been struggling to decide on a style or era that i want to build my car in. I picked up a 30 model A fordor which wasn't my first choice but have decided to make it work. I also orginally wanted a I beam dropped axle but came accross a straight front axle and wishbone for free. I was als going to orginally build a frame from 2 x 3 tubing, but also scored an origanl frame for free. Since the true meaning of hot rodding to me is that you use what you have and can afford, i have decided to box my stock frame and use the straight axle up front.

I want a relly low sitting car, something that has a mean and aggresive look. I have loved the PPE since the first day i seen it in the mag. I relize that the PPE isn't a reliable daily driver and so i will have to make some mods to do so. I will probably not channel the car as much. Maybe just the width of the frame. I will also modify the frame so that the bottom sits about 4-5" off the ground. I will put a little bit of rake in the body and mount the motor high enough so that my AC will be a few inches above the cowl. I am even thinking about using the stock gas tank. I will probably sweep the frame as opposed to "Z"ing it. This will give me "the car will break at the firewall" look similar to the PPE. Any help or ideas on how to make the PPE a more reliable daily driver is greatly appericated. Don't get me wrong i would love to drive the PPE everyday but i don't think it is safe enough.
