I think at swapmeets people figure that no one will pay the price on the windshield or the first price asked for a part but that you will offer less anyway so they have a lot of negotiating room. In general I think that a lot of people are feeling pinched and are cutting back on vacations and other things but feel like they have to have some fun so they still have their hobbies. There are still people who have lost their jobs or have been cut back on their hours or pay and have to sell their toys. A friend of mine recently bought a very nice 40's project Chevy very cheeply because the owner was being evicted from his house and had to sell it quickly. We need to pray for those who are less fortunate than our selves and help those we can. I'm serious about that. I also know of some people here in Riverside Co. California who have had to sell parts cars and other things because of Riverside County Codes limit out side storage to 100 to 200 sq ft depending on acreage. If the county Board Of Supervisors can limit your right to store things outside based on volume then they could limit us to 2 sq. ft. just as well. If they regulated by quality rather than quantity such as not allowing hazardous materials or dangerous conditions that might be another question. Untill we take back our personal and property rights we will suffer greatly especially in this great hobby. The car hobby including car clubs and this and other venues represent millions of votes and if we get organized we will prosper if not the politicians will continue to eat away our rights thru regulations and silly decrees. Most politicians probably have never created anything original in their lives and probably could not change a spark plug. They haven't a clue how powerful we are if we band together. This is not political we all are at risk in this reqard. Dick
