Well we hemhawed around for a while and then decided to go to the Roadster Show so at 10 am Sunday it was Gas up the van and head over Satus P*** and down I 84 food and pit stop in the Dalles and off to to Portland and arrive around 2. Plenty of parking in the parking garage and free tickets from a vendor who was riding with us in the elevator. 4 hr waiting line to get Chips autograph so we didn't do that but we walked right up and bought a T shirt from Gene Winfield and got to chat for a minute with him. Great looking shirt too. I took a batch of photo but my cheapie camera doesn't do good enough indoors to post any of the photos. But we had a ball at the show, saw some interesting cars and some not so interesting ones. Visited with some vendors with some cool stuff and services I may need in the near future and had a nice ride back home. I pure missed that Green 41. But I may have missed an aisle of cars somewhere along the line.
nice. i see a lot of familiar cars in those pics..... cool. is that thunderbird the one that belongs to one of the checs? that's a nice-*** car.
I got a few as I spent some time checking that one out. One of the most interesting and fun appearing things was the digital spray painting programs that Clackamus Community College had set up. Guys got to try their hand with the paint gun and the program showed what they were doing on the screen and even showed how much paint they were putting on and if they had bad spots. The print on the screen tells what he was doing with the gun. I didn't try it because there were several waiting but wish I had. That would be a good auto body program to look into for anyone wanting to go to one. They had several cars on display that students had done and the work was pretty nice.
That rpu was sweet. The photos I took didn't come out nearly that good Eric B. That little Canadian bodied T was one of my favorites of the show.
