I'd recently picked up a killer poster with artwork created by Jeff Norwell. Not only do I enjoy his craftsmanship and artistic talents but this piece of artwork had special meaning and a close connection. At the top of the poster was "El Mirage 1949 June 12-19". The place and date were perfect considering my roadster was racing on that date in 1949. Ok, that is cool enough you would think. The artwork is of a traditional fenderless Model A roadster that hooked me into buying the poster. The model of roadster, the place and the date all added up to a close enough relation to make this a special piece of artwork for me, especially since it was mastered by Jeff himself. The Poster (Sorry for the glare, picture doesn't do it justice) My roadster at El Mirage last year My SCTA timing tag - NOTICE THE DATE AND PLACE (EL Mirage June 12, 1949) I proudly have this hanging in my home office. It's just too *****in! The only bummer is, I've haven't met him...yet. Thanks Jeff
Jeff is the man! Next year you should show up at the Round up and have him sign your poster....like he did mine Cool roadster !!
If you get to meet Jeff you will certainly realize, in short order, that his personality is as "kool beans" as his artwork.
Thats pretty *****in. That tag is priceless!! Doesn't get any better than Norwell! Great buy, I picked up some of his stuff at hunnert last year.
That's a cool poster!Norwell is one hell of a talented man,an is also one of the most genuine guys I have ever had the pleasure of talking to.
Thank you for the very kind words... your Roadster is outta site!!!! Man... that's a whole lot of cool history.
I could definitely set you up to cruise in the p***enger seat if you're ever out here...but no selly!! Thanks. I am very fortunate to be its caretaker.
Thanks Jeff. I gotta track you down at one of these events to say hello. One of the cool things about be the owner of this roadster is tracking down more history and the stories that surround it. Whether it be family history or racing history it pretty amazing the stuff you unearth. Fun stuff!!
I met Jeff at Hunnert Car Pile-Up last yaer and i agree he is a really nice guy and to the time to talk to me and you can tell he was sincere about his actions with each and every person that i seen him come in contact with!I will definately being doing business with him again! And he also didn't charge extra to sign my print that i bought from him either! Can't get better than that!
