Excellent choice of rolling stock: five-spokes and one-inch whites. Love that look.

Sold the '56 convert in '66 and got a whole $15 for it. It actually ran, had a fairly new top, and no rust. And I still had to beg someone to buy it cause I was going in the Navy. The '55 I bought in '61 off a used car lot for $200. It was a standard shift / 265. Sold it in 1973 for $350 and thought I did good! Damn I sure want an other one!!!!!!!! Maybe someday.

    A mutual friends car

This is a genuine survivor from the 60s. A genuine utility sedan (no back seat, all the delete plates and fixed rear side windows.) A drag race veteran from the 60s with a 301 engine built for it by a guy named George Montgomery...yes THAT George Montgomery. Notice the tag. It's the real deal and it is getting the respect it deserves. It's a great car!

I wanted to post this here , there are a lot of Tri Fives at this race. One of the track photographers made this poster of the Texas Thaw cars.
