things to do in and around L.A in october

Hi guys, I am heading over from Australia in October for the California hot rod reunion and wondered what other stuff I should make a point of going to see whilst over there, both car related and tourist. I've never been to the U.S before so want to cram a heap of stuff in , I will be there for 2 weeks.

check out the deal cruisin magazine is offering ive been thinking about heading over for the chrr too but theyve got things listed that theyre doing in the week or two they are there nhra museum and a few other places, might helpp add a few things on the itinerary

the LSR sounds ace, do they get a lot of cars there?

what else is going on around california during that time? we fly in on the 13th and stay till 26th.

El Mirage. You can't come all that way and no go to El Mirage. Your fellow countryman was here last year. Heres a link to dlra. Then theres the Petersen, NHRA museum, Disneyand, etc.

Not hot rod related but the So-CAL surf is awesome in October. So if you are a surfer bring your board.
