I missed it again this year, worked yesterday, got a nice cold, the rain and no money, so I p***ed. Went out to the garage and putzed with my car.

Paul - good to meet you, Bob, Larry, Lawrence in person.

We also spent some time with Hamber Enginuity...Good guy as well.

The most I spent was at Kent's on a big bar, but it was better than working for the afternoon.

The plain folks from the Plains left this morning just after I left for the show. I would guess around 6:00 AM. They should make it home before too late tonight, so you might get some more from Povertyflats yet today.

He will likely be riding his new motorized bicycle, but he will likely put brakes on it first.

I suppose he will also be performing compression checks, painting and photography his new engine.

And keep your eyes peeled for photos of the nice car he will soon be driving. He is hoping to get very good fuel economy. It has shiny paint, too.

I wish I had seen that heater. I have the same model I have been working on. After replacing the motor with a a 12v unit I had the shroud bead blasted ...both bottom corners were covered over with bondo and are totally gone (rusted out) . I would have really like to have bought this one.

Is this HAMBers stand? QUOTE=povertyflats;5166439]more pics <CENTER>

Jefferson was a don't miss meet for me and my buddies when I lived in Chicagoland. Now that I'm in SW WY, I miss swap meets more than I can say. The Big Bar guy sold at Gears and Ears (my club) when I was back there.

I had fun on Saturday! I spent most of my time with Cliffy and another friend and not as much time as I usually do looking for parts.I only bought 3 big bars ( 2 for me and 1 for my wife who patiently sat in the truck and watched people get stuck in the parking field). We came close to getting stuck with my s-10 2wd .Note for next year ...Leave the snow tires on untill after Jefferson...PAUL

wow---made it home in time to ride my new "board track racer" bike around my town and it was fun. My pal Tom had hot dogs and beer waiting for us as soon as we rolled into town as well. Had a good trip and tons of fun. Wish I could have met more of you guys but it is hard to do at a swap meet. Thanks again Bob and Carla.

Yep I will be there. I am incharge of the model contest so I probably won't get out much. I can't wait to see your sons car, sounds like it should be kool.

I will have to look and see. I know lots of people took pics of it last year. I guess a lot of people took pics of that body this weekend.

I really dig this car and don't know if it was for sale or display. I didn't see a sign on it. <center>

Nope--and the guys who don't put prices on their items cost themselves alot of lost sales because people ***ume it is high and move on. OR---you stand there waiting to ask the price while the guy yaks with a friend about something unrelated forever and ever until you walk away. Happens all the time at swap meets.

I TOTALLY agree! Price your stuff when you take it to a swap meet! No sense wasting your time and mine if the price what you or I think it should be isn't close. I always feel like guys who don't price stuff are either too lazy to do it, or base thier prices on how much a potential buyer looks like he's got to spend!

wow - I can just imagine someone trying to manhandle CheaterCarl - ha

well - I can tell ya after seeing so many people pack up on saturday evening I thought it would be a total ghost town on Sunday............
it actually turned out OK on Sunday.

I was on a mission for specific tools and came up empty

I was only able to walk around for about an hour on friday - then I had to set up.

Great to see so many people face to face who are coming out next week.

Not sure I will be at the Jefferson in the fall..........have to see what is going on.

No ****. 200.00 - 600.00 is that really the going rate?
What if the chrome is missing?

Odd, I've never had anyone put their hands on me at a swap meet, maybe just shake hands.
Then again I'm 6'8" and 340. My wife says I'm intimedating to most people.

    Thanks for all the info.
