Jesse is an active member, keep this at the top long enough and he'll chime in.

I've learned it was paint with Kustom Shop "Sapphire Blue Diamond Crystal Pearl" but I guess it was used in the details not to the BackGround...

I would look at the colors that are available on the Kustom Shop website. I'm sure they have the colors that were used or something close. I'm betting that the base color they used was a dark metallic blue , the accents may be silver then the pearl used over top in an intercoat clear or in the clearcoat. I use their product quite often and am very happy with them. I used their products on the Ranchero in my avatar.

I'm sure it's a custom mix. Your best bet is to experiment and shoot some test panels.

  15. That is one of my favorite kustoms!

  16. Normally candy saphire blue goes over a silver base, but having seen the car in person I'd either agree that it has a different (and darker) base or it has a lot of coats of candy on it! All that aside, the ****er is gorgeous!!!

Hot Dog told me that it was a custom mix. he just played with colors till he found what he and jesse liked. you just have to try to find something close or try to mix your own.

Customed mixed paint sounds cool. ...until my dumb*** does something that needs touched up. I guess when you have better access to the materials it isn't an issue at all.

Damn that car looks good, no matter what mixture the color is.

Yeah! I did it some months ago I PM'd him...I think Jesse is a nice guy but also I know he has his bussiness and life to take care...So Im asking here just to have some clues...I would like to know the products used and the processes to get to that color...Im not really willing to emulate the exact same color...I like the hue a lot and gonna try something close to that...But the products, that glossy look, the finish are just great...very good taste...So if someone, even Jesse James himself, can help me out in learning how to achieve that quality level that would be just great!...Im really willing to learn from you guys!

  23. Looks like a Midnight Blue...? Old time painters added dark blue or purple to black. It was not real trick, but gave a real nice end result.

  26. Pay attention to paint brand, colour, and quan***ies if you are mixing paints. Then you can touch up that custom colour as needed. Write it down as you go. Guessing ****s.

I love jesse's car, everything that guy touches turns to gold!! the paint i beleive is a sapphire blue diamond pearl from kustom shoppe in so cal . now the mix ratio im sure has been formulated to accustom the painter, but definitely that is the color!
