I have a 60 ford f100 currently with the stock set up, a single holley 1904. I recently found three glass bowls for these carbs and wanted to run the offy 3x1 intake manifold. I was looking to see of anyone had some pics of the set up they were using and how they were dealing with the linkage... any pics would help even 2x1 set ups Thanks
UPDATE.... I just finished setting up my 3x1 manifold and its running great best decision i made.... the trucks running great and the setup looks awesome
i still need to put my 2x1 on my truck!!! found it at the wichita swap meet '09. still not on her! i got lucky finding it.
Sorry guys I did not see this post earlier, I been running the Offy 3 carb on my Ford 223 for a few years now works great.
Are those linkages progressive or do they all operate at once? What jets do you use in each for the proper fuel to the engine with 3? I just bought the 3x1 and glass bowls and was curious...thanks!! Any closer pics would be awesome.
Hunt, they are not progressive. jets will depend on whats do to your engine. Also, there are a lot of different Holley 1904 's so that will also make a difference. I think i ran 51's in my 3 x 1 set up on my 215. Travis
I have been looking for a nice tri power finned intake and fenton style headers for my 223 and havent had any luck.
Are any of you guys running an automatic with your 223? I have a 3x1 intake with 1904's and don't know how to run the kickdown for the trans.
I picked up a 3x1 offenhauser set up with 3 glass bowl holleys on ebay. Got the whole thing for 221 bucks...Figured it was a good deal since the intake alone is more than that. It arrived yesterday. Needs some cleaning up and rebuilds on the carbs I am sure. I was a little concerned that the linkage is tack welded onto each throttle assembly. Also, all the choke butterflies are removed and arms tack welded. Is that normal for a multi carb set up? I would think I would need a choke set up of some kind? Anyone have a closer picture of the linkages/choke etc?
