Picked up this heap yesterday from "stangcountry" in IN. Looks like some Ford parts that I have lying around are going to work in it pretty good. I have a '51 rear end and three speed and a '53 flatty. Plans are Low 'n' Slow.

Looks like you've achieved all your plan called for.

    Looks like a good project

I was very excited to find out that the rear end I have is perfect width. Now I just have to get some power in my garage to run the new welder!

So I was informed by a H.A.M.B.er that this is a 1936 Ford, which I think is great news! Also, earlier today I ordered the body repair pieces for the bottom of the doors and cowls etc... Here we go!

Got some of the patch pieces. They were out of stock on the door parts.

Awsome! I'm building a '35 5w coupe too and I am almost ready to plop the motor back in. I'm building it as a Hot Rod circa 56-59. 265 (283 now) with 39 trans behind it and a banjo etc. Great to see another '35 being built!

I wish we could post it here some where in big letters "AN X IN THE COWL DOES NOT MEAN IS A '36, '35'S HAD THEM TOO!" What you have there is a later '35.

Full fendered, lowered, with skirts, perhaps gunmetal grey... How's that sound?!

So now I've got conflicting information, heard the cowl bead is 1936 but apparently it's also late '35...

    That's where I learned it was a '36. Now I'm getting "it's a '35". I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!! Other than to build a hot rod!:D

It's a 36, see the two little beads on top of the cowl circled in the photo? Those are the hood props, 36 style. 35 hood props are indented in the cowl top, rather than the raised beads of the 36.

Check out my build thread if you want to see how I fixed my cowl bottoms, hope it helps you out. Nice score!

I gotta believe the guys that site specific reasons. I'm going with 1936 and I will be building it as such.

    Thanks!

Checking the frame #, just forward of the firewall, under the drivers door channel or where the frame starts to bend up towards the rear, will tell you when it was built. '35's are either "early or late" and the later ones shared a lot with the '36 from the cowl on back. Either front clip will bolt to the frame and either way, enjoy the ride.

Anybody tell me if I should consider boxing this frame for a late flathead? It's not going to be supercharged or anything, maybe 2 carbs and a cam...
