This is what my trip to town turned into today. Just never know here!

I've lived in the Springs since 1968 and can vouch that a snowy day is a passing phenomenon. The sun usually comes out the next day and melts all the snow away.

I'm working in DC but have my 37 Ford Coupe project car at home in CS. Can't wait to get working on it after retirement.

Crazy! It wasn't too bad here in Denver today...a little overcast and a cool breeze, but far from snow!

  10. We woke up to a skiff of snow in Gunnison, but it's just glorified rain this time of year. Watch out for the front range people, they don' know how to drive in the snow.......frickin' flatlanders.

The USAF Academy car/bike show was a little chilly yesterday too. At least the snow was better than last weeks hail. Four dippled cars in my driveway now. The F1 is in the garage, and the boys 59 Apache didn't get a dent from 1" hail.

  13. 'til the 15 minutes of sleet. I was at Bandimere for a King Street race. They shut it down.

Yeah, we got snow down here in the southwest part of town today, too. Cold yesterday at the USAFA show, but at least it held off on snowing til we packed up yesterday. Hey Gayle, Seen our new panel?

Gayle, I've got a project that's been tabled for awhile, with the surgery and all. It's a '60 Rambler American coupe. I was going to use a turbo 2.3 I have, but it's for my wife, and she doesn't want the car cut up, so I need to find something like a 200-250 Ford inline 6 that'll fit without butchery. I may use the turbo engine in a small roadster or something. :)

Animal, another engine that should fit without cutting the American up is a late model Ranger four -- 2300 or 2500. You'd need the one with the intake that curves over the valve cover and would have to keep the EFI. Shouldn't be hard to lift the computer and wiring right from a Ranger and plop it down in the Rambler though.

Frank, I had the turbo 2.3, harness, computer, etc. all together, then decided that it just wasn't going to fit without some serious remodeling. :) You said it wouldn't fit; I should've listened. I'll look into the Ranger deal. Thanks!

I've got one sitting in an XR4ti right across from my 62 American parts car. I wanted to do the same thing! I might just cut everything away from the rails and install some other front suspension anyway, but I doubt it. I got a 65 American with lots more room under the hood now, would drop right in that one! Wife would like a Gremlin or Hornet hatchback though...
