Went Friday, didn't really see any must-haves...would have loved to have come home with the coral/white '57 Plymouth in the car corral, but I'd have to find a different place to live if I did I see you're in Chandler...I'm next door in Brownsboro, you ever get out to the Edom cruise? Gary
I read what the local swapmeet vendors pay. $500 up front and 1/2 of ALL sales. Too many people with their hands out to make a buck off of you and the food has gotten horrible.
My buddy brought a whole truckload home. The funny thing is, some guys from Texas came by and bought some of the parts. So ... he drives to Texas, buys parts, then sells them to a guy from Texas headed back.....
6 94 carbs $15 rear mercury coupe fenders $100 auto part belt measuring stick $10 priceless 6 53 mercury hub caps $100 50 Texas license plate $10 Chevy wheels painted ready to go $80 6 free beers and a sun burn had a truck load of fun!!!!
$6 corndog and $3 cokes (which I buy from the kid with a cooler for $1) Saw a couple of project cars I'd like if I had more space, and a vendor who had 7 or 8 hotrods, all (poorly) painted the same color red, priced as if they were just a little less than showroom condition (while they were really quite flawed, maybe a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 - 10)
$25 Chevy 327 carb, $12.50 42 Ford steering column with drag link, $10 rear hub puller, $15 32 trans mount. Sold some stuff and was too high on some stuff. Prices were way down. I was going by old prices. I thought the traffic was way down as well. Most all the transactions were between vendors.
bought me some rachet/straps for my new hauler, brake pedal brackets for the '36, a cool old wilton vise for 25 bux, a buddy bought all the gl*** for his 56 Chevy truck, and probably my best purchase was a new full set of martin hammers and dollys, i had been wanting a set for a while and the martin hammer guy was there, was able to save about 40 bux on the set, not to mention the cost of shipping and taxes.
Yeah we took in our own cooler with beer soda and water on a utility cart, the worst part of it was not being able to sit and take a break.
Rebuilt Tremec trans for a Ford and a bunch of sanding blocks. Guess drivetrain and body are next on the list.

I always buy a sackfull of Model A parts from Neil Richmond. No luck selling the Sedan... I bet I explained how to build a Model A hotrod to about 30 people. "How do you do this?", "Why did you do that?", "What's this for?", "Where did you get that?" Holy ****! They wore my *** out! So, now I get to spend more money on it and lower the price. I made 7 oak top slats tonight. It's getting sprayed with DP90 on Friday. I'll make a snap on cover for the top next. Good thing I enjoy this stuff.
