After much deliberation, I jumped in with both feet and bought a '32 sedan I've been looking at for 4 months. Its a tudor, partially built but comes with virtually everything to finish it off. For an extra $1k the owner is throwing in a 350/700R4. Comes with a Ford 8" installed on parallel leafs, original dash, original shell, bumpers, Rootlieb hood, new floors, firewall. The roof is not filled.....yet. My plans are filled roof, drilled I beam, Buick drums, change the parallel to 4 bar, a SERIOUS chop, painted SHINEY black, blackwall skinnies on all 4 corners, black rims and chrome caps. Oh yeah, zoomies too. It'll be a project I tackle when the '36 is painted this spring. Here are some shots.....with aplogies for the lack of photography skill.
congrats.....nice feeling to start a new project. I sold my shop, but if you need a hand just PM me. I'm just around the corner. Reg.
soundes like you got y'self a great plan..... body looks to be in pretty good shape... cant wait to see it built... good luck and ENJOY!!
I can't belive there was a Duce Sedan For Sale that took 4 months to sell. You must have had to pay to much for it. I doubt you will ever regret doing this. Congrat's. The Wizzard
Reg......I may just give you a call. I'll probably work on it at the Roadmates club house but you are more than welcome to stop by anytime to take a gander at it. I'm bringing it home on the 14th.
A girl will never tell what price she paid. You would fill your drawers if you knew. PM me and I'll tell tales out of school.
Looking good Al.............the 32 should make a nice brother too the 36.........plus the sedan has more room for the family!
Al...in the second shot ...behind the 32 shell...is that some kind of display.....please tell me they are not cut 32 front fenders! .......Did this kat own a roadster at some time?
Jeff They are gl*** fenders he used for a display. He has an award winning '32 roadster under a cover. It won the top Speedorama about 8-10 years ago. I doubt if he has driven it 100 miles since.
You must have had to pay to much for it. You would cry if you found out how much it sold for......I did...again Al....you lucky *******.....great score!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on your tudor, I dig that body style and whats sweet about them the family and friends can join you too.. Love to see some more pics
I'm bringing it home on the 14th of Jan. More pics then. Here is my '36.......currently being prepped for new paint and I ordered new wide whites yesterday. The second pic is Jeff Norwell's rendition of what it will look like come Spring.
