"theyre still out there."....even down here. fair chance im going to get this ,silly cheap. any suggestions for its future?
belongs to a young girl in perth, car is in vic. she hasnt seen it for seven years, was her grandpas.farm owners want it gone .
Great find!! you and I need to talk tomorrow....... Whilst down here I picked up some very rough 28 2-ring panels & bits, currently PACKED into my little 323 astina (Carla NOT impressed... ) Cheers, Drewfus
Looks like you found it just in time. 7 victorian winters have taken their tol.To bad they did,nt cover it all them years.
Actually my mum found it! she does painting classes with the lady whose farm it is on. she took photos on her phone of "an old car sort of like your hot rod" and showed me them at christmas...I flipped.
I can't believe how complete and untouched it is. Great find! You must be thrilled. I'd have a hard time deciding what to do with it -- hopped up stocker or wild 60s custom-rod? Not sure.
Im thinking pull the body off,AV8 the chassis, but stock lookin painted flatty, 16" red wires,Juice brakes,5 speed box (flatoz, how do ya do that again?) fat whites, stuffed up in the fenders, and just do the little body repairs needed and leave the shitty paint. might even leave the farmer style luggage rack,it folds down flat-good aussie bush engineering!Keep the hokey feel going......
Nice find, but ya need ta turn yur camera around the other way..............it's putt'in the steering wheel on the wrong side o' the car. Wish I could find something cool like that...every one I find can't be had. -slacker

I just bought a house just outside of Baltimore and this guys that lives 2 house down has a bone stock 29 ford tudor that looks like it has been recently restored. If i ever get the chance i'm going to hopefully try to buy it one day, and then I'll chop/channell it up!! I'll try and get pics and post em'
good guessin peddro, actually between woodend and daylesford. you could spend weeks in central vic checkin every farm for tin.if your'e a friendly type and talk to locals and have some common point (mum and dad are well known) I reckon you could pull a cool old car out of this region every other weekend. found that mag, not worth grabbing. Drewfus, colour is actually baby blue.and whats wrong with the luggage rack?
[ QUOTE ] good guessin peddro, actually between woodend and daylesford [/ QUOTE ] I was gonna say around Trentham or somethin' like that but I don't know place names out there. Just make sure you give us a yell when you get it home. I'm convinced there's quite a bit of stuff around. Just the other day I spotted a 40 ford truck off the main road on the way to my folk's place. Asked my dad about it but he reckon's the guy that has it is tight as a fish's arsehole, so not much hope there.
Cool score good luck on it. Hey Peddro, there is always hope ask the ol prick anyway, ya never know he might be needing a VB or two.....
Shit how did I miss this one!! your a tinny arsed bastard loqsquire!!! I would have said maybe in the dandenogs with all that brachen around. 5 speed is the go!! need to talk to you will give you a yell. congrats, better get the money out and sort it all out b4 someone gets in there first!
Hey, what's the address??. i'll fly out tomorrow and see you there??> ha, ha. great find. a friend of mine had a runner back in 1957 like that, that was barn fresh that i was going to buy, but when the brakes failed and i hit my dads garage, it was all over. never saw it after that. now there is a story about a 33 chev. 2rd sdn, but it would take to long here, or the 34 chev. 4 dr sdn also.
