At at a turning point with my coupe I posted it awhile back. I picked the car up pretty close to how it sits in a far out trade. Always loved late 40s early 50s A's. Do to the economy and lack of extra funds I've held off on jumping into finishing the car. Over time through browsing and reading threads on here my taste has really gone to a distinct type of car, that being av8 highboy roadsters on A frames and what the rolling bones guys are doing. Here's what I have been thinking with directions for the coupe cause as of now it's a bit of a abortion although a cool car just not my taste. 40 steelies with ribbed firestones in front amd 750s rear First here's the car in a nutshell. 31 chopped 5w bare metal beautiful body, custom firewall, delux 40 coupe dash, 32 stinkbugged frame, banjo rear end, 53 stud 232 with misc speed parts with altenator. 4 inch dropped super bell axle and some fancy frame work for lights, motor mounts and stearing box. Some may have seen the car I'll post pics when I'm on a computer. 1) sell it to someone who can appreciate the cars style. And pick up a 28-31 roadster amd build a traditional flathead powered av8 highboy. Nothing fancy bare bones reliable car. 2. Keep the car. Sell the frame and go with a rolling bones or atomic hotrods theme with the 31 body. Pinched bobbed front end, 32 stock beam bones front suspension axle in front friction shocks lakes headers similar to atomics 32s. Full hood 32 grill amd cowl stearing. Would keep the bare metal throw a simple bomber bench. My question is to make sure I keep to that era of car what else would I need to ditch? 53 stude motor be correct if I put a generator back on it? The 40 delux dash stand out? The firewall I'd swap for a stock 31. The finishes result I'd like to think would be a mix of pinkees bare 31 with rolling bones suspension and stance. Just never seen a 31 coupe set up this way with full hood and that suspension. 3) putting my high dreams aside and go with a typical 31 highboy like chris casneys( in which I love)

well since you asked i think you should get you existing coupe running and driving first. it would sell easier and you may get offered a trade. Al.
