I was wonderin if this late model ford 8.8 rear end with disc brakes are gonna be too wide for my 55 dodge coronet! also how do you change bolt pattern to chevy pattern without adapters? I plan on 4 linking it with bags...suggestions anyone? yeah i know get a tape!
a friend of mine used an 8.8 out of a turbo coupe .he put it under a 31 chevy coupe. the turbo coupe is not a very wide differential.you might be worth checking one out.
Ford made the 8.8 in many different widths, so im sure you can find one close to what you need. As far as bolt pattern you can order chevy lug pattern axels for the 8.8 from Strange
Any good machine shop can re-drill the pattern for pretty cheap. The Exploder 8.8 is 59-3/4" WMS to WMS. How wide is your current axle?
