  2. I agree, #6 is a 51 Buick. 52 Buick's had a die cast chrome fin on the top of the quarter panel above the tail lamp. I have a soft spot for 51's, the first car I remember my mother owning.

Plant some nice iron loving plants around them and call them yard art. The rust will really start pouring into the soil now, it gets faster every year. You won't do anything with them just like your paternal ancestor. What a shame, there are guys on here that would love to complete some of those. Keep a couple and sell the rest to finance the build.

Nate, it's good to see that you understand this. Keep 'em in the family! Take appropriate action to preserve them, though.

working on it, I recently had to move them all when we moved the shop, priority one is getting the new shop up to speed, then I have to start orginizing the cars and parts he has ac***ulated over the years, some really cool stuff. I'll admit that between my engineering career, running my old mans shop, and organizing all the stuff there's not much time left these days, but I'm only 27 so there is plenty of time in the future :)

I know eventually I will sell some of them, there's no way I could build them all, or even my kids and grandkids couldn't get them all built, but how do you pick and choose which one? that's the hard part! It would **** to sell one then regret it down the road like so many do.

And once again, thanks guys for the insight into what these vehicles are. Thanks

Another sign that the pickup is a 34, look at the firewall area closely. Sure looks like it's been cut around the perimeter. There's no flange for the hood welt to sit on.

Yes, I concede that it is a '34. I didn't notice the back of the cab in the first shot of the Cheby until you guys pointed it out. But, I did say that it may have had the firewall cut out.

I wondered who owned those vehicles. I've driven by that yard many times. Best of luck in deciding what to do with them.

  11. See if guys like this didnt collect cars in the first place, where would they be now? You'd be looking for structural steel columns in China.

yeah.. you should sell some so they sit in someone elses back yard. where do people get the idea that if a person with a stash like this sells them they will then be built within the next few years. comments like that are just plain goofy.

    Depends on the model

Roadmaster & Century's had the big motor I think, Super's had the small.(I think) I don't think yours is a Roadmaster because it doesn't have 4 portholes.

One sign that the truck isnt a '32...the bead that runs across the top above the visor was only on '33's and '34's.

I agree, as long as there's hope someone in the family will want one and you enjoy lookin' at them, keep 'em. :D
