Bringing this one up again. Does anyone make a 'glass tub. I have seen the two glue together and they look like ass.
These things are cool. I had a 27 touring years ago. 40 flathead, 36 trans and no fenders. I never got it running and traded it for a K car (yeah I know that I am an idiot but I needed a driver).
I hopefully will. But I will keep the stock chassis and all the other stuff because I am one of those pack rats that won't sell anything. Don't worry I probably won't do anything with it anyway. LOL
well he even says in one of his post "I dont like Hot rods"................what the hell.another lost resto guy????
If you want to find out, click on my name,go into statics,go into ''Find all posts made by Tin Lizzy'' and wollia, you will see my other 11 (now 12,^.^ posts.)
I did and linked it for all to see. You are inthe wrong fucking place buddy. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/search.php?searchid=9547221 Restore, don't like hot rods? Leave it stock? WTF?
How much ya want? Built by my buddy Ron Olmstead here in Phoenix between '97 and '99. Buick 322 with a T5 behind it. It's on a '32 frame that was flattened out and shortened about 3". Body is all steel with bodywork and paint by Ron himself. The chassis was built by Ron Carlsten up in Greer,AZ. Quick change is a "Culver city" Halibrand that was rescued from a mini stock car back before they were rare and outrageously priced. It was featured in Street Rodder mag in December of 1999. Ronnie sold the car to Prescott, AZ. in about '06, and it has changed hands a couple of times since, but I believe it is still in the Prescott area. The photo of the car in the shop was taken at Industrial Chassis (ElPolacko's joint), by either Steve or myself right before we all took off for Hot Rod Reunion in 2005. Need more detail?!
then why are you on the HAMB? -- a place that professes to be "spreading the word of traditional HOT RODDING!" --
I suspect he may be one of our first new Ford Barn transplants? His disposition certainly fits the grumpy restorer mindset.
...it should be. agreed, I think it was done as a project by someone a while ago- or at least similar- i've definatly seen similar pipes around. funnily enough I picked up an unknown 20's cowl and rear tub today out of two diffrent tips for free! hmmm another project?
Your link doesn't work... Let me explain something here,i don't hate hotrods,I don't like hotrods (can see this sentence being quoted bout 4 times soon).Anyways, back to the point,I know this place is for hotrods, dont worry,I'm not an idiot. There are many topics here that i like, like ''The best 55' caddy build'' and the 59 Chevy El Camino build. There are also many other topics here that i like to read, like '' Whats the weirdest thing you ever found in a car '' and ''Dealer Stories''. Whoever starts with this to build a hotrod : Is an idiot with to much cash and to little brains, but who starts with this for a hotrod : Is a genus because not many people have the capabilities of saving something that far gone... Btw,i'm not from ''FordBarn''.. and no,T Tourings are not rare, but if everyone buys them and turns them into Pos's then they will be rare... Yes,i do realies that it was the tin lizzy that was the base for hot rodding, but then they used stock engines, lowered it and took off non necessary parts,They didnt chop it beyond all whits and put in some Chebby big block...
