Does anyone have any tips on frenching headlight on a 51 mercury. I bought a frenching kits from night prowlers http://www.thenightprowlers.com/night_prowlers_inventory_page.htm The person I bought the car from did a poor job on chopping the car and put about 1/2 inch of bondo to french the headlights.
Turn the clip nuts around, bolt the buckets in from the back, I usually weld nuts to the back of the fender to space the headlight lens in a little farther, then welding the trim ring on is all cosmetic work.
Click on the top of the screen where it says "Search" and type in "headlights" or "frenching" - you will find several how-to threads on exactly what you want to know, with photos and everything.
Yup try variations like "frenching" and "french." There is a lot of good reading on here. Good luck with your Merc and post up some pics up it at some point!
