A couple jugs of fuel, a tank of air for the tires and before I knew it I was on the freeway with about 35 miles to go before home with my new family car. Not quite sure what direction I am going to go with yet though, probably pretty mild.

Sweet. Lower it a tad, a little pinstriping, Olds Fiesta 'caps, a glass pack and she's good to go.

  7. Good find.
I see it has duals with the flathead six....how does it sound??

Lots of possibilities for little touches ala the old days.

A/C and new weatherstrips go a long way in a family cruiser, just sayin'

I agree with lowering and stripe it up, good mechanical service.

I need to get all new clips for the side trim. When the old owner took it off he broke most og them. Thankfully he didnt mess up the actual trim. I just found out that I am the third owner, the first had it for 58 years, the second for 2 years and now me.

Ya, I was out at Mummerts shop on Sun and we were talking about that to. He remembers HURST making an adaptor to put a Y-Block into a 49-51 Ford.

  20. I know where to get those trim clips, but I forgot the name. I'll tell you how to get there at the Broiler Weds night.

Get out the sawzall (see my avatar) if you want a 2 person Coupe. Mine used to be a 4 Door. Whatever you do, it is one
    nice piece to begin with.

    Enjoy.

  25. Nice shoebie Chris!

There are actually a few of those adaptors floating around. Seems like I've seen a couple in the HAMB classifieds, and on the 'bay...(I don't have one for you this time:rolleyes:)

Looks like a good mate to your F-100...

You're stoked! Sweet little four door. I like the idea of lowering it, skirts and not going nuts on it. I sent you a message on Y-blocks forever. I live in Costa Mesa.
