saw this cool 40 merc made into a pickup at the roundup and couldn't stop staring at it,,,,does anyone know who owns it, and if it belongs to a HAMBer, is there a build thread on it? It gives me all kinds of crazy ideas and i need to find out more about it,,,,,,,,,,
The car is built by Joe Hernandez from Tucson, Arizona. Not sure if he is a Hamber. I will pm you his email address. It was built from a 1939 four door Merc. Its nice.. but the top is not so nice.
I saw it on E Bay last year and I was surprised it wasn't getting much action. I thought that it was very Kool, just wish that I was in a postion to buy it. Happy Trails, Mick
Can I ***ume you mean a '40 four door Merc, or maybe '39? Or did he really start with a '49? I like the top. It's like a little 40's Carson top but for a truck.
I'm sure it was built so they would have plenty of head room. I would cut maybe two inches out of the bottom of the top. This would give it a better line..... As is, it is a very kool truck
