    Hey guys,
I'm working on some new art that has to do with the old xray drawings of cars you sometimes find in Rodder's Journal. I'm not really having much luck finding any on the net ..so I figured maybe some of you guys might have some. I do have some out of rodders journal ...but that's about it. I don't really want to say much more on what the art will be when it's done....but it'll be really different and awesome. So if anyone has some good reference, I would really appreciate it! It kinda looks like this stuff.

This should turn into a great thread, I've always liked cutaways. Most issues of Hot Rod magazines had them in the early 1950's.

My late father, Larry Bronson, was a pretty good artist. I recently stumbled across some artwork he did in his late teens, some of which was even cut away art. Thought you might enjoy...

Street Rodder Magazine had some extremely nice cut aways of a 50 Merc and a 40 Ford coupe several years ago.

I sold them on HAMB last year. Maybe the buyer will post the edition of the SRM they were in.

Thanks:) He was accepted to a design school in the Chicago area shorly after graduation from high school; however, my grandfather talked him into staying at Chrysler, where he had just been hired. He made good money there, but I think he always had the 'what if' thought floating in his mind.

BTW...I like your work as well.

I own a few original Tom West cutaways. Pretty much just drag racing stuff. I will try and snap some pics tonight if there isn't too much glare from the glass. hey are pretty mind blowing. Look like ink on vellum, but it's actually pencil. I think I have a Tony Nancy roadster piece, Prudhomme's Skoal pontiac flopper, Greer Black and Prudhomme rail, and the Arivett Bros top fuel streamliner.

Do a search. I believe there is a thread that has most the Hot Rod magazine artwork posted.

    ..and Prudhomme's Pontiac flopper.

I the odd thing to me, is the Tom does NOT consider himself an artist.

These hung in the NHRA museum for quite a while.
