I've searched all I could find on here and couldn't come up with a definiate lesson on how to replace the kingpins.

I read on the older cars you need to reem out the spindle to get the new kingpins to fit, but I couldn't tell if that's still required post - '49...

So how do I go about swapping in new kingpins? I've got Jamco drop spindles on right now, but they've been sitting out and the kingpins are all rusted up and the actual spindle is still on the stock uprights so I'll be swapping those over and installing a new kingpin kit I've got here.

So do I just hammer the old ones out and hammer the new ones in or what?

    TIA...
