They will look like **** on the coupe, let me have them and I'll try them on a bunch of cars and let you know. BB
They are called "Bubble Skirts" and they fit anything with a wheel opening smaller than the skirts.............late 50's...maybe early 60's fad item.........a derivative, if I recall correctly, of the cruiser skirts into'd on '57 Mercs..........neat nostalgia piece for custom guys....... Ray
They would look great on my car, Bring them with you to Conn. and I will get you a room with clean sheets and a heart shaped tub . REALLY!!!
I tried to put them on the coupe Bob, and you're right, they didn't look too good.... Just bring your cars on over and you can try them, but I'll have to test drive. Hnstray, I was guessing they may be universal, but not sure from what era. But then looking at the curves I thought they may fit something specific.
if I had them they would fit in a box to be shipped to someone else. no way those would be an improvement on any car.
Custom bubble skirts that were included in some of the AMT 3 in 1 model car kits from the late 50s-early 60s. This is a 1960 Almquist catalog.
