SO……keep no drip rails and smooth the roof out over the windows or put on drip rails? On one hand smooth would be cool since we are obviously not worried about water (roof louvers!) and the smoothed rails give a compe***ion look. On the other I like the look of drip rails – it defines the windows and it could be said it doesn't take away from the compe***ion look. What do you think???? the car has never had drip rails since I've had it and every guy that seems to know 5 windows always asks me "where are the drip rails?" like it's blasphemy that they are not on there. Check out all the fine work that Ray has done at Ray's Speed and Custom

I like the drip rails. Keeps it looking like it's real tin and not just a gl*** car...

Race cars don't need them... if this was a year round / all weather driver I'd put them back on and replace the roof louvers. Gary

I rebuilt mine out of flat stock to keep the definition of the look but they aren't really functional to catch water.

Drip rails please, like others said it removes the gl*** car look and is for lack of a better description, a picture frame around the window.

It's like shaving your eyebrows, yes it's cleaner and more aero but it just doesn't look right.

    Drip rails are a must

  11. Hell yeah! No 30s car looks 'right' without them.
Nice looking coup you got there too.

  12. I like 'em better with drip rails but I might not go through the trouble to out them on. Just lazy I guess.

Oh nice car although it would look better with the drip rails in my own personal opinion.

I voted drip rails, but since you want to keep a smooth racey look, why not just form a "drip rail" from 1/4" rod that would follow the shape of the origional. It will add some dimension to that area of the body, but maintain the smooth look. Just a suggestion.

Just tell them that the 800hp blew them off!!!!!

I think you should put them on. If they are there I think it'll only add to the car and complete it. If there are not you'll always regret not putting them on. You've come this far already why not put them on right?

Car is looking killer dude. That thing sits perfectly and I can't stop giggling when I looks at it because It's just so gnarly looking. Please bring it up so I can drool over it. Is it channeled a bit?

  20. If you leave them shaved ya might as well paint the bumpers too - LOL

Clicked the wrong one in the vote but I like the drip rails quite a little bit. I think that they not only make the body look authentic steel but they also give it a special cl***ic look to it, kinda like an old lakes racer. But keep the louvers and the drip rails.

It seems as though everyone is voting for the drip rails...so I say NO...with the louvered top, you don`t need them to know its not a gl*** car and the lovers will drip plenty when it rains.

Drip rails will make it a clean and detailed look. No rails looks like you are cutting corners.

If you take off the drip rails it makes the rear quarter window look out of place (like it's fallen down a couple of inches) DRIP RAILS YES
