Recently I aquired a nice collection of NOS and early take-off parts (mostly 50's-60s) from a horde that hadn't seen the light of day for decades. I'm going to need some HAMBer help in identifying some of this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the first group of parts: 1. Pontiac grille emblem. Anyone know the year(s) for which this is correct? ***uming late 40's. 2. Cadillac steering wheel ****on. Year(s)? ***uming early-mid 50's. 3. Small Mercury crest emblem with two prongs on back. Year, and model/location (i.e. fender, interior etc)? I have two of these. 4. Pontiac trunk emblem - plastic. I know this goes on a '54. Any other years? 5. Studebaker emblem. Year/model/location? Plenty more where this came from. Thanks in advance for your help.
Paul - You're right, the steering wheel ****on is Buick, not Cadillac. Looks to be 1955-56, however (found a similar one on Ebay). Caractacus - thanks for the info on the Studebaker emblem! Anyone else on the rest?
#2 is a 56 Buick steering wheel center emblem for a car with the deluxe wheel and chrome horn ring. 55's were black, IIRC.
The Mercury emblems look like '51 Monterey crests, I see them on eBay from time to time. It also looks like a '50 Merc hood ornament but not quite. Gotta be from that era.
