I am considering purchasing a 46-48 dodge 2 door sedan (D-24). I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for this car. Pictures would be great! I have searched the threads and have not found much on dodges. There is a lot of info on plymouths (p-15). Any good pictures and info would be greatly appreciated.

There are not many people building these. It's gonna be tough to fing pics. I'm building a '47 3 window Coupe. There is a another forum for 46-48 mopars. You should check that out. http://www.merc583.addr.com/mopar/index.html

Tricks are the same as the Plymouth as far as upgrades.

Does anyone have any photos of sedans that have had the custom treatment. That is other than ones that have been posted on p15-d24.com. I realize this car is somewhat unique and I am hoping to get some good ideas from you guys.

The 42-48 Mopar coaches or 2door sedans are rarer than the coupes. Oddly, Chrysler Corp. didn't seem to like the 2door sedan too much so they are rather rare especiallly in the Chrysler and DeSoto brands.

  7. There are some pictures of 47 and 48 Dodges on carnut.com, but they
are either coupes or four doors. May give you some ideas though.

On the first page, click on car pix index, then dodge on next screen, then
you can choose the model year to get to pictures.

  8. Go and get it, build it according to your own preference and resources, and enjoy. There's too few D-24's on the road!

I agree with Fireball, not many Mopars around, buy it and build it your way..
