Well, I've posted almost 20 times without a proper intro, so I figured I was pushing my luck and better make it official before the intro police get me! My name is Adam and I'm from Phoenix, AZ. My dad raised me wrenching on old cars and the newest thing I've ever owned was a '91 S-10 I bought about 4 years ago. Even that just didn't feel right so I'm moving that aside and starting a new project that will soon be my daily driver. It's a '64 Lincoln Continental. Shaved, bagged, scraping, flaming, suede..you get the idea. I'll give her a proper intro soon when she's a little farther along. I've owned several other cars over the years, but right now the Lincoln and a '58 Beetle (GASP!) street/strip project are the only residents in my garage. I own my own video production company and pay the bills with commercials, infomercials and corporate video mostly, but when I have time I like to do documentary work focusing on the hot rod world. I've been surfing this board for a while and just recently dove in to start posting. It's a lot of fun and I hope I can make some helpful contributions. P.S. Any wise cracks about the bug and I'll drive it to the track and make you race me for pinks!...when it's finished
Ok then, Adam. Welcome to the coolest place on the World Wide Net. Post pics a soon as ya get 'em. Joel
Hey adzy - I've seen some of your posts on here. Glad you went legit. BTW, you're livin' my dream with your video production company - some day.......Until then, I'll just keep shovelin' shit and grinnin'...Good luck with the Lincoln - sounds like fun...
Welcome to the Hamb. Screw them infomercials, you should do porn, yeah Hotrods and porn, can't get any better than that . later plmczy
Thanks for all the welcomes. jangleguy, all it takes is some talent, credit card debt, and a wife that doesn't mind being a sugar momma for a while! Mike, it's nice to see someone with your talent right here in town, I'll probably be looking you up in the near future! plmczy, great idea! were you looking for acting work or something?
Adzy, do you ever hit the cruise on 35th Ave and Northern on Friday nights? Alot of the regualars hang out there. Great bunch of car guys.

[ QUOTE ] post those lincoln in-progress pics! [/ QUOTE ] Here are a few. The bags are almost done, it's got a 2 link rear end, it just got a fresh shave and just after these pictures it got scraper plates all around. The next step is going through all the electrical. It's coming along...
Hey Adzy, Mike here in Tampa; glad you put the intro up, so here is my official welcome! Boy, you have that thing apart, which is good, since like I said earlier that year can have bitchin electrical problems. I must make a suggestion if you do not mind: Don't suede the paint! Those cars gotta look classy. I recommend a paint called "Velvet Turquiose" It was a Lincoln color for 62 only and it is metallic. My buddy did his 62 in it and it looks bad ass. This of course is just my opinion. Glad to find someone to talk about Connies with here. Mike Tampa, FL
I understand what you're saying about the paint. This a kustom, not a hotrod, so eventually I want to put some nice paint on it. Right now though, that's low on my priorities, so some suede and a pinstripe will do for now Thanks for the tip on that color though, I'll definitely check it out!
Welcome to the board from a another Phoenix goon. Come on out to 35th Av & Northern like Deyo said. Several HAMBers are regulars out there (me, jerry, scooter, Elpolacko, mighty herc). I should be out there tonight, look for a dopey lookin' blonde guy with either a Yellow '51 F1 pick up or a black and white '57 Ranch Wagon.
Adzy, go out there anyway- what else is going on in PHX on a Friday night? It's a good time standing around and talking cars all night even if yours is at home up on jackstands and out of commission. (I know from experience).

I'll come by sometime soon. I'm working tonight, going to Pomona next week, but maybe the week after. See ya there!
