Drill the threads out and pound in some studs.

I haven't seen them in a while, but I know at one time there was a stud that screwed into a lug bolt hole and had what ever thread you needed on the other end. I used to sell these years ago in a V.W. shop I worked in. That might be where you start the search, with a V.W. shop. They would be metric which would not help you, but I'm sure they could check with they're supplier to see if other threads are available. Barring that, there is a guy that comes to our swaps over here from L.A. that sells under the name "lug nut king". Possibly a google search for him can get you going

I've been known to do some off the wall stuff, but I would never replace a lug bolt with a screw in stud. Bore the holes to whatever size they need to be to install press in lugs

Thanks for all the replies, here is a pic i took a few days ago. I just ran the bolts throu the wheelsand snuged them up for a picture.

Are they worth the trouble of making then fit?

  6. Lots of drag cars use screw in studs, but they are actually bolts that are installed from the back side and tightened against the axle or hub flange. If yours are machined flat on the back side that's not a bad way to go.

I hate the "lug nut king" I left my wallet at his stand and rode off on my bike. Then he gives my wallet to some random guy that said he would give it to me, how was he gunna find me when i was on a bike at the big 3 swap meet? I told him he was more of an idiot than i was, even though i left my wallet at an idiots stand. Wallet had nothing in but was a good wallet id had for ten years.
