It's a privare collection....if you go to the Portland roadster show there are usually a slug of cars there (Papa's Toys) from the collection of 160 or so stored in a time warp muraled warehouse. the opeh house is a benefit and worth seeing for the variety under one roof...!!!
then there's the show of rods that show up outside to boot...

Hey shapeshifters.......I noticed you got my picture of that car above, I have a couple others I will e-mail to you.
We talked with several people around that 29 Ford including Mike the Father.
We saw the Plaque and the Book about this being a Memorial Car.
I know the car recieved the promotors choice award or judges choice award ?
You should tell the story of this car, we were told the car was built in 20 days?

    Thanks for the pictures NW.
I took all of your pictures and others posted here for our coverage of the event for the family and friends also.
Yes, this Car was a car our friend Scott ***an was building this in secret for his Mom and Dad on the side of having a full time job.
Scott was a car enthusiast of many types just like most of us here.
He p***ed away unexpected at the end of March.
He was hoping to get the car running for the Portland Transmission Show this year.
His father asked if we could put the peices back on the car and make it run.
We could not just do this, we decided to take the month off from our regular jobs and build the car how Scott planned on Building it over the next year for his parents.
We brought the Car to our shop and began work on it after the Portland Swap Meet.
The Build began on the 14th of April 2010.
What you see above is where we got to with the car between April 14th and May 7th with help of close to 40 Friends of Scott's and his Family.
The car was completely torn apart and in the middle of the build at the time of his p***ing.
-The Great People from the Portland Transmission Show did give an Award to the Parents -Mike and Cindy ***an for the car and the overall story of how the car came to make it to this event.
-This was a wonderful experience for us and everyone involved.
-Scott will be missed by many!
    .
If you have any pictures of the car from the event please post them or e-mail to us at shapeshifters2@gmail.com

Here is a short video a friend of Scotts took of him in the Garage talking about this car a few days before he p***ed away.

And this year the Portland Trans and Ppa's Toy's events are different days! Papa's toys is the 5-14-11, so no conflict with PT!!!!!
