Picked up this frame at a yard sale, Don't know what year. Has been shortened, and has juiced brakes. Any help with year ID is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the info

  8. The serial number of the vehicle it came from is stamped in 3 places on top of the driver's side frame rail: 1. anywhere between firewall and front crossmember but usually beside the steering box. 2. About halfway, about where the back of the front seat would be, and 3. on the arch over the rear axle. Check that number against the serial number listings at Mac VanPelt's site, www.flatheadV8.com. If it had the 85 HP engine, the serial # will have an 18- prefix, if it had the 60 HP it will have a 54- prefix.

Thanks a lot. I haven't had a chance to check the #'s yet. It's at a buddy's place at the moment, since I'm out of room, & the neighbor's already pissed about all the cars.
