My Dad turned 80 this weekend, and I have a friend that has a few stock model A's. he came down and we took my Dad and Mom out to lunch in style. Original plans were to take a roadster, but it was a bit chilly, so we took the 4 door. The car is totally original with the exception of a paint job many years ago. I think he had a good time.
That was cool of ya. I am sure it brought back lots of memories for him. Even if he's not a hot rodder, back in the day cars like this were true drivers. It would probably surprise you with the tidbits etc he knows about old cars.
thats way cool. i hope when we are old and grey there is still some real steel so our kids dont offer to take us to lunch in a vintage prius LOL
What a great thing to share with your dad and the rest of us. I'll bet he can remember all kinds of things about the Model A days. He looks kinda cool posing with it!! Thank you for posring this.
Way cool! Its really cool to here and know the goodness behind it as well as yall having a great time to boot!
From the expression on his face Im going to say he loved it. That's a memory that will last a lifetime.
I'm sure he can remember when those were just daily transportation and it was no big deal to see several in the course of a day. Good for you rekindling some old memories and he looks to be in great shape for 80 years old. Frank
Took my Mom for drive in the country last summer, She was 82 at the time. Since the ride she doesn't give me any **** about the car Enjoy your Dad.
Way to go !!! He looks like he's having a ball Enjoy I never had a chance to give mine a ride in the Model A I was going to build. He p***ed away. I finally got it finished with money he had set a side. I wouldn't let him help me when he was alive and didn't know about the money until he was gone. So get um done and enjoy every minute with the oldies. You won't be able to when there gone.
Man I wish I could do that as my pops is 82 & lives in Australia.Still I keep him informed with what is happening in the shed.Great thing you did there, thanks for sharing.I only hope that I can live so long,,,Deadbeat
I take my Dad for a ride every time I drive the hot rod, in my heart, it's not the same, my Dad p***ed away way to soon ( 51 yrs old ) that was 36 years ago. Enjoy every ride and every minute you can, looks like you guys had a great day.
